Any unemployment insurance benefits you receive may be taxable if you are required to file a tax return. We report to the IRS and Oregon Department of Revenue all taxes withheld on the benefits you received. The Employment Department sends a Form 1099-G (Statement for Recipients of Unemployment Compensation) to each person who was paid unemployment insurance in the prior year.
The forms have been printed and will be mailed by January 31. The form will be mailed to the address we had on file for you as of January 17, 2012. These forms are not forwarded, so if you have moved or need to update your address, contact your UI Center.
