| Introduction |

Privileged access enables users to take actions that may affect computing systems, network communication, or the accounts, files, data, or processes of other users. It is typically granted to system administrators, network administrators, staff who perform computing account-administration, or other staff whose job duties require special privileges over a computing system or network.
Privileged Access Statewide Policy 107-027-010 (pdf): This policy establishes the process and expectations for granting and using privileged access to the information systems of the Oregon State Data Center (SDC). Attachment B of the Statewide Privileged Access Policy (Agency/CIO Agreement)(doc) is signed by the agency CIO designating authorized requestors who are authorized to submit and approve privileged access requests. This agreement should only be submitted by the agency CIO if it is a new request or if any information on the agreement is updated (e.g. new agency CIO, need to add or remove an authorized requestor, etc.)
