OR-Kids FAQs for Child Welfare Providers
- Is it mandatory to complete a Direct Deposit Authorization form for OR-Kids if I haven't already filled one out?
Not for non-contracted/home providers. It is only suggested if you have not previously completed a form to expedite payment. For contracted/private providers, it is strongly recommended.
- Will I receive my payment at the same time after OR-Kids is implemented?
There will be some adjustments:
- - For contracted private providers: payments on invoices and one-time payments will process the same night that they are approved in the system.
- - For non-contracted home providers: payments for ongoing services like Foster Care, Family Shelter Care and Personal Care will be issued at month end. One-time payments for things like clothing or rent will process the same night that they are approved in the system. OR-Kids will process one-time payment checks Monday through Thursday rather than only two nights per week as in the current system.
- How do I find my Provider Number on my check?
It is listed on the face of the check and in the top center under "Account Statement." If you would like assistance, please call your local branch office contact.
- What is an FEIN Number? Do I have one, and can I use that instead of my SSN?
EIN or FEIN are Federal Employee Identification Numbers. These are for businesses. If you are not a business, use the Social Security Number (SSN) of the person that checks are payable to.
- Whose SSN do I use on the Direct Deposit Authorization form?
Use the SSN of the person that checks are payable to.
- Will my Provider Number change now that OR-Kids has implemented?
Yes. Your new Provider Number can be found in the upper right corner of your Remittance Advice account statement next to "Payee ID."
