Unemployment Insurance Information

US BANK ReliaCard and Employment Phishing

Many of you receive unemployment insurance benefits on Reliacard. Any email or text message that asks you to confirm, verify, or otherwise provide personal information (also known as phishing) regarding your Reliacard account is a fraud.

US BANK will never ask you for sensitive account information via email, phone or text message. The Employment Department will never ask you for your Passwords, PIN Numbers or Bank Account Number information via email, phone or text message.

If you have any questions about any message received from US Bank, call the phone number on the back of your ReliaCard Visa Debit card (1-866-276-5114). If you have any questions about any message received from the Oregon Employment Department, call your UI Center.

Additionally, some phishing ploys feature an email falsely claiming to be an established job board site with an open position. These traps attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft. If you have questions concerning job opportunities via email, please contact your WorkSource Center.

Unemployment Insurance Benefits May be Delayed for Some

The Employment Department is closed on July 3, 2009 in observance of Independence Day. Payment will be delayed for those individuals who claim a week of benefits on Thursday, July 2 or Friday, July 3. Allow one additional business day for payment to arrive before contacting your UI Center.
