Fake Unemployment Benefits Filing Websites
Don't Be Fooled
This is NOT a site to file for unemployment BenefitsIt is very important when filing a claim for unemployment benefits that you make sure you are on an actual state web site. Customers have reported visiting sites such as UnemploymentBenefits.us where they were fooled into giving personal and financial information and were actually charged fees. The site to the right is not a place to file benefits. Click on the image to see a larger version in a new window.

Online Filing of Claims in OregonYou will NEVER be charged a fee to file your claim for unemployment benefits. The only site in Oregon to file for benefits is www.WorkingInOregon.org/ocs. The screen you will see looks like the picture on the left of this page. Click on the link to see a large image. Notice that the final page you go to has a state.or.us ending in the url. This signifies a government webiste.

We suggest you do NOT do an internet search for unemployment benefits. Many of the top search results are NOT real sites to file your claim. If a site asks you for credit card information or attempts to sign you up for a kit for finding government grants or other such services, know that this did not originate with the Oregon Employment Department.

If you are unsure of how to file your claim, or feel you have reached a site that is not an official state of Oregon site just go to www.Oregon.gov and find the Employment Department site under the Agencies list. If you do give credit card information you may have rights to cancel the transaction. Contact your credit card company for details.
