The Jackson County Employer Council is a partnership between Jackson County employers and the Oregon Employment Department. We are a local council that includes private and public sector employers who serve as advisors to the Oregon Employment Department to identify and address local employment and workforce challenges. We sponsor low cost educational seminars for employers that are scheduled throughout the year, which includes a free monthly Brown Bag Lunch with various topics and speakers on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to
1 p.m.
The Jackson County Oregon Employer Council meets at 8:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Oregon Employment Department, 119 N. Oakdale Ave, Medford. Local employers are welcome to attend these meetings. Membership is open to all Jackson County Oregon employers. Please contact Tammy Schroeder at 541-776-6060 x263.
Jackson County Employer Council also:
--Hosted an Annual Job Fair held in each September.
--Co-Sponsored the Annual Business Fair held each October.
--Sponsors low cost, high quality seminars throughout the year, on various employment related topics and issues.
--Has partnered with the Oregon National Guard in Medford, Oregon and co-sponsored the "Hire a Hero Job Fair."
--Awarded a grant to the Marines "Toys for Tots Program"
--Awarded a grant to the Community Business Education Center.
--Awarded scholarships to Board Members to attend the Annual State Conference for Businesses.
