Human Resource Manager Kandis Allison

Clackamas Bakery had several openings for bakers and needed to fill them ASAP! Kandis Allison, Human Resource Manager, knew to call the Clackamas County One Stop to list these available positions in iMatchSkills. She spoke with Stephanie Hudson, a Business Representative for Clackamas County, who advised Kandis about additional business services that are available.
Stephanie connected Kandis to contact Mary Nelson to find out more about holding an in-house recruitment.
“Along with listing our openings on their web site, Mary suggested we reserve space at the One Stop and do an in-house recruitment,” said Kandis.
Mary also made many calls to job seekers interested in a baker position, pre-screened them to meet the requirements and qualifications Kandis needed, and invited those chosen to meet with Clackamas Bakery reps at the One Stop. Candidates were scheduled and asked to come dressed for an interview. They broght their resumes and completed the employer application before interviewing with Kandis and her associate.
In addition to the candidates that were recruited, One Stop staff screened and scheduled interested walk-in candidates. Staff invited job seekers to a meeting area to learn more about the position and the company. Kandis was able to talk with over 20 applicants in small groups, avoiding long delays.
"We were able to make job offers to several qualified applicants,” said Kandis. "We hired several employees."
