| Correcting Employment Department Payroll Records |

Occasionally an incorrect payroll report is sent to the Employment Department and the employer or tax preparer needs to send an amendment. The procedure is to print the report, write AMENDED across the top, circle the incorrect information/figures write the new information and an explanation and mail the Amended Report.

| NEW ONLINE TOOL FOR BUSINESS |

The Business Information Center (BIC) is a new online tool designed to provide businesses with labor market information that can be customized for their individual needs. The BIC provides companies with information about their industry, localized economic and population trends, resources for recruiting and training staff, tax credits and business financing. Businesses can also find information about local associations and chambers of commerce at the site.
In August, the BIC was honored by the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) with the 2005 Labor Market Information Communications Publication Award in the category of “internet or electronic product or service providing labor market and workforce information to customers.”
