ARRA
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, also known as the Federal Stimulus Package, signed into law by the President includes many enhancements to Oregon Employment Department programs.

The skill sets you use and learn in volunteer work could turn into a job offer or a career change in the future. Volunteering will not affect your unemployment benefits as long as you continue to meet work-search and availability requirements. Important Information
Unemployment Insurance and Taxes - Form 1099-G
Any unemployment insurance benefits you receive may be taxable if you are required to file a tax return. We report to the IRS and Oregon Department of Revenue all taxes withheld on the benefits you received. The Employment Department sends a Form 1099-G (Statement for Recipients of Unemployment Compensation) to each person who was paid unemployment insurance in the prior year.

The forms have been printed and will be mailed by January 31. The form will be mailed to the address we had on file for you as of January 17, 2012. These forms are not forwarded, so if you have moved or need to update your address, contact your UI Center.

Update: 1099G information for 2011 is now available to view in the Online Claims System.
