SALEM – The Oregon Department of Transportation has appointed the Oregon Rail Funding Task Force to research and recommend a funding proposal for freight and passenger rail improvements. The task force will eventually bring its recommendations to the Oregon Transportation Commission.
The first meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. on Friday, April 22 at the Port of Portland, Chinook Room, 7200 NE Airport Way in Portland. The public is invited.
