INTRODUCTION
 
Public Transit Division's (PTD) web-based grant management software, the Oregon Public Transit Information System (OPTIS), automates and standardizes interaction between PTD and transit agencies. By simply logging into OPTIS, transit providers with grants administered through PTD can access current information such as  payment history, grant balances, and active agreements.  Validated users are given system privileges enabling them to electronically submit reimbursement requests, enter reporting data, and track grant activities.

TRAINING
 
We are pleased to be able to provide you with an online training opportunity where you’ll learn how to enter periodic reports, request grant reimbursement, track your PTD-funded projects, and more. We created a video of a recent two-day OPTIS training and broke it out into about 15 to 30 minute segments that you can watch at your own pace. –3/16/12

What's New?
·  OPTIS was moved to an ODOT-only server on June 9, 2011. The system is now faster and more secure. Be sure to change any shortcuts you may have created so they point to the new application launch site. 
·  New Server Instructions click here! 
 

Future Upgrades
 
  • Periodic Reports:
    • User will be able to save incomplete screens to finish at a later date.
    • Workflow will be improved to allow tracking of  "prepared by", "authorized by", and "submitted by" steps.
    • Workflow steps/persons will display on final pdf report.
  • Assets:
    • Agency-provided number field will be added.
    • Non-PTD-funded assets will be supported in Asset register.
  • Overview Screen:
    • Overview will be accessible from document search screen.
    • While at Overview, user will be able to move back and forth from agency-wide view to agreement number view.
    • Payment requests will be viewable at Overview.
  • Document Search: Sort order will be changed to display newest documents first.
